Throughout the day I contemplate my next destination... googling Sayulita Airbnb's, exploring the idea of San Pancho.... perhaps a high end experience in Marina PV? Nothing feels right so I shut the laptop and escape to the beach... it’s exceptionally hot today and I find myself a shady spot amongst the rocks. It is private, tucked between the jagged coastline~ more serene than the open beach. I spend the afternoon swimming in the ocean... the water again today appears to have flecks of gold. I float on my back staring up at the sky... how little movement it now takes to stay afloat on the surface. I close my eyes and listen to the sounds of the sea... the sand rolling on the ocean floor... I no longer feel as vulnerable and exposed as I did just days ago. It is another liberating experience in Sayulita.
Today my muscles feel stiff and I stretch out my legs across the rocks. I hear the beach vendors on the beach and decide to make my way over to beach civilization again. I am craving another icecream or perhaps something served on a stick. I settle on a cold Corona and a bag of plain chips ~ he opens the bag and adds hot sauce, fresh squeezed lime and a sprinkle of salt~ It is delicious. I decide I will continue this new snack regime at home. It is a lazy quiet beach day and I am yet to decide my destination for my last 4 days.
Yoga tonight is a Gentle Vinyasa of which I am one of three participants. It is an intimate group and we share stories before we begin. Chel, the instructor is a world traveller~ she has set roots in Sayulita for now, to teach yoga, surf and write a book. She will be going to France next. I feel connected to her at once~ Omi teaches Meditation and Tantra while travelling the world. He sold his Tech company in San Fran and has been living his passion ever since. His next destination is Hawaii then off to India. Victor is a fellow Canadian, originally from Vancouver~ he too is travelling solo and has hung up his trunks in Sayulita for a while to teach AcroYoga. He is a computer techy by trade and has flexibility for work. I am fascinated by these Solo Travellers and want to learn more about their journeys to get here.

I am inspired by the class and the poses in which come so easily to this group. I know my body and give myself compassion for its current limitations. Yoga is not about comparison it is about Self. The class ends as the sun goes down. I am bursting with joy, peace and curiosity. My body feels strong and limber and I know Yoga will now be a part of my life going forward. Hatha, Flow, Vinyasa, Kundalini, Restorative... I am now open to experiencing it all. The conversation continues and I inquire about AcroYoga~ Chel and Victor demonstrate some poses for us. It is a physical practice that combines Yoga, Acrobatics and Thai Massage. The poses are challenging and involve balance and strength. We decide as a group to go out for tacos and margaritas. I have found my new tribe and I have made my decision. I am staying at Paraiso for the last chapter of my trip.
